I have practiced law in New Zealand since 1997 and specialise in all areas of Family Law. I regularly appear in the Family Court and have appeared in the High Court on various matters.
I am an assigned Legal Aid Provider and am happy to discuss with you whether you might be eligible for Legal Aid. I am also on the Lawyer for Child list and receive appointments from the Ministry of Justice to represent children in Family Court proceedings.
I completed a course named Collaborative Practice held by the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Collaborative law uses a different approach to resolving disputes without involving litigation; the focus is on the parties being able to reach an agreeable solution to their particular issues. One of the many positive aspects of Collaborative Law is the parties make their own decisions rather than having a Judge make a decision, which either one or both parties disagree with.
I have a wide range of experience in Family and Property Law. I appear frequently in the Family Court on matters such as Care of Children, Relationship Property and Domestic Violence.
I enjoy working with clients from all kinds of backgrounds and helping them achieve the best possible result.
My practice areas include Family Law, Residential Sale & Purchase of Land, Wills, Estates, Trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Relationship Property Agreements
Raised on the North Shore, I went on to graduate as a young adult from the University of Auckland in 1999 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology major).
Eager to pursue post-graduate studies, I gained a place in the Masters of Criminology degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia. I graduated there in the year 2000 with honours.
After time spent travelling abroad, I began my desired career in law in 2005.
Since that time, I have been entrusted by numerous clients, from all walks of life, to assist them through some of the toughest times they have had to face. It is always a privilege to do so.
I specialize in family, criminal and traffic law. I appear on a weekly basis as a senior duty lawyer in the Waitakere District Court.
A sense of the wider community is also very important to me. I am currently a board member of the Waitemata Community Law Centre.
I am a keen admirer of the arts, and support local talent by maintaining memberships with the Mairangi Arts Centre and Lakehouse Arts Centre.
As a mother of two primary school aged sons I enjoy managing our soccer and t-ball teams, and regularly assist our team leaders at Hawke Sea Scouts, Cox Bay.
I gained my Legal Executive Diploma with the New Zealand Law Society in 2012. I have 4 ½ years experience working as a Legal Secretary in a mid-sized firm prior to joining Holbrook Law.
My practice areas include Residential Conveyancing, Wills, Estates, Trusts and Company Affairs.
I have been with Holbrook Law as a Legal Secretary since 2010 after living in the USA for ten years. While in the USA I worked in the financial industry as a Senior Project Consultant for a large processing centre for credit unions.
I enjoy spending time with my family and am a big sports fan, with netball taking the top spot.
