Dana Holbrook

BA JD – Principal

I am originally from the United States but have been living in New Zealand since 1995.

I have practiced law in New Zealand since 1997 and specialise in all areas of Family Law. I regularly appear in the Family Court and have appeared in the High Court on various matters.

I am an assigned Legal Aid Provider and am happy to discuss with you whether you might be eligible for Legal Aid. I am also on the Lawyer for Child list and receive appointments from the Ministry of Justice to represent children in Family Court proceedings.

I completed a course named Collaborative Practice held by the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Collaborative law uses a different approach to resolving disputes without involving litigation; the focus is on the parties being able to reach an agreeable solution to their particular issues. One of the many positive aspects of Collaborative Law is the parties make their own decisions rather than having a Judge make a decision, which either one or both parties disagree with.

Chris McBreen

LLB MBS

I have vast experience in Family and Property Law. I appear frequently in the Family Court on matters such as Care of Children, Relationship Property, Domestic Violence and Care and Protection.

I enjoy working with clients from all kinds of backgrounds and helping them achieve the best possible result.

My practice areas include Family Law, Residential Sale & Purchase of Land, Wills & Estates and Relationship Property Agreements.

Fiona Morris

BA LLB - Solicitor

I was admitted to the bar in 1998 after obtaining a LLB and BA majoring in English and Criminology from Victoria University of Wellington. I initially worked in private practice conducting family, criminal and civil litigation.

I spent six years in England and worked in the public sector conducting social services litigation for two London Borough Councils and then specialised in professional conduct and discipline. On my return to New Zealand I joined the Ministry of Justice in Wellington, providing legal advice within their Office of Legal Counsel. I joined Webster Holbrook in June 2010.

I enjoy socialisng with family and friends, reading and watching movies and swimming in the sea.

Lynette Harris

Legal Executive

I recently gained my Legal Executive Diploma with the New Zealand Law Society. I have 4 1/2 years experience working as a Legal Secretary in a mid-sized firm prior to joining Holbrook Law. My practice areas include Residential & Commercial Conveyancing, Wills & Estates, Trusts and Company affairs.

Sarah Coan

Legal Secretary

I have been working as a legal secretary for almost two years since my return from the USA after living there for ten years. While in the USA I worked in the financial industry as a Senior Project Consultant for a large processing centre for credit unions.

I enjoy spending time with my family and am a big sports fan, with netball taking the top spot.
